Hi everybody,

This is my first time to go to Hawaii. I will be there from 09/02/04 - 09/07/04 in Ka' anapali/Lahaina area. Please give me any suggestion about the area, activity and attraction. Thanks in advance. ;)

Aloha, e komo mai, welcome to Flyertalk.

First off, which hotel will you be staying at?

I just returned from a 24 hour stay in the Ka'anapali area (sorry my Hawaiian language keyboard is off) and had an excellent time just relaxing on the beach -- pretty much doing nothing. Ka'anapali's beach (or what's left of it) is one of the best in the world, and I loved just basking on the sand watching the crabs scuttle and jumping into the crystal clear water...

For a first time visit, however, there are a lot of things you should do on Maui, not necessarily restricted to the Ka'anapali area. Drive to Hana, drive to the top of Haleakala to see the sun rise (get up early), visit 'Iao Valley, eat at Sam Sato's (my personal favorite), the Hailimaile General Store, go see Jaws (the beach -- although the surf's probably pretty flat next month), pick up some Maui manju (a local's favorite), go visit Molokini and finally, visit all the nice beaches on Maui, they've got some of the best.

Sorry for the generalized post. Please let us know your interests and that might help us narrow down specific activities for you.

aloha kaanapali iao

Thank you slippahs,

That is what I need. I will stay at Rayal Lahaina hotel. I already book the activity from Activity World. I will have Royal Lahaina Luau, Sunset cocktail Cruise and Maui Lanai landing. I also rent a car, so I should be able to go to the place you suggest. Thank a lot.. If u have anymore suggestion, please let me know...... thanks again
