Why was the Sacramento to Orange County service discontinued??

We need the Sacramento to Orange County service back! We are now stuck with Greyhound aka Southwest Airlines!

Southwest may be the "Greyhound"...but c'mon...it's only an hour flight. When Southwest started flying this route, they forced HP to significantly reduce their fares. Now Southwest operates 7 nonstops a day to SMF from SNA. But when they drove HP from the market, they didn't start gouging the customer.

i think hp did well on the route, but with it discontinued, i think they are just as happy with their additional las and phx flights that they use with the unused smf slots. i think they leased some slots out as well. now that aa discontinued sna-rno, i would like to see reno service back, and same with sea since aa pulled out of that route.

No %$#^!

What with connecting in PHX, layover time, and car travel at both ends, a SNA-Lake Tahoe trip is now a 10-hour ordeal.

FYI: Aloha operates a SNA-RNO non-stop flight.
