Has anyone heard of the AmEx Executive Business Card? I got an offer for it in the mail today and wondered if it's worth getting. It looks like a gold AmEx business card with "Executive" in big letters between "American Express" and "Business" on the card. The benefits seem to include one free companion ticket with a paid coach ticket (booked through their travel agent, no choice of air carriers), free roadside assistance, membership in the Starwood Preferred Business program with room upgrades and a 50% off (rack rates) coupon, membership in Hertz #1 Gold and National's Emerald Club, plus "Executive Business Travel Services" (whatever that means.) Cost is $150/year. It seems like the companion ticket alone might make this worth while if there aren't too many restrictions on it.

If I remember right, the coach ticket has to be full Y fare. I really didn't see any benefit to the Executive Business card above and beyond the regular Business card.

The T&C say it's a 14 day advance purchase with no choice of carriers. I thought that might indicate a discount fare. You're right, though, if it's a full fare Y ticket it's not a good deal.

I couldn't find that anywhere in the literature.
