Today while checking the status of my inbound flight online, I clicked on 'Chat with an Agent'. I asked why the flight was delayed, and got a very quick response (waiting for pilot).
Way to go!

I asked why the flight was delayed, and got a very quick response (waiting for pilot). Way to go! This newer feature is great, I've used it a few times and actually think it is a great use of technology on HP's part. I'm sure (or at least hope) we'll see others adopt this in due time. AZ Travels the World Aug 12, 04, 6:32 pm I used it for the first time earlier this week, asking whether Hawaiian Airlines' new Sydney service was eligible for earning miles into the HP program. (I already know you can't get free tickets to Sydney via HP FF. :( ) The web site info isn't clear on whether you can earn miles by paying to fly HA on this route. After checking with some folks she said she couldn't answer the question, but that she would check with marketing and e-mail me the answer later in the week. Assuming she follows through, I like this much better than via the phone. How many times in dealing with programs in the past did you wish you had a transcript of a conversation in order to prove that someone did, in fact, tell you something in particular. Aside from the obvious customer service benefits, this will come in very handy for that reason. I hope they keep this going and expand it. My single experience indicates it's a keeper. cab747 Aug 12, 04, 7:54 pm How many times in dealing with programs in the past did you wish you had a transcript of a conversation in order to prove that someone did, in fact, tell you something in particular. Very true! You are given the option after "chatting" with an agent to have a copy of the transcript emailed to you for your records. That would come in handy just for that reason you made mention of. We'll see if that helps. |
