Can anyone confirm if UK Centurion Card holders can book RC and FS Centurion rates ( as USA Centurion card holders ) , or can you only book FHR hotel rates if listed in the FRH broucher ????
Thanks for any info.

I'm pretty sure you can book them as the hotel isn't going to check the country of issue of the card (although they could, if they wanted to, work it out from the first 4 numbers of your card).
If you want to know what the Centurion rates are at RC, just go to the website and type "AXC" into the rate code box. I think you still have to book through CTS to get these rates.

Yes I thought the same, however the Centurion rep last night said that you only get Good rates if the hotel is listed in the FHR broucher. I thought I would post the question as I am sure that I have read that UK Centurion card holders have obtained AXC rates before.

I have tried to get clarification from Amex and RC about whether AXC rates are available to all Centurion card holders, irrespective of where their cards are issued. The RC site implies that they are, since when entering that booking code in the online reservations site to check rates, one of the conditions is that the reservation is made through any Centurion Travel Services office worldwide. Most people at Amex have also confirmed this, although a couple have said it is only available to US card holders.
Practically speaking, when making bookings through CTS in UK and Japan, I have always been able to take advantage of the AXC rates. Usually, though, the agents think I am talking about the FHR rate, and I have to explain that this is a different programme and tell them the benefits (the one which is always the biggest problem when booking from the UK is upgrade on reservation rather than check in - since this is different from FHR, they seem to be reluctant to acknowledge it).
The agent then usually needs to call the hotel in question to confirm the benefits and the reservation - it takes far longer than it should, but I have always been able to book at the relevant rate at RCs in various countries. It doesn't help that the booking code in Amex's system is not AXC.
I would just call CTS and tell them you want to book under the special promotion programme for Centurion card holders, and tell them the exact benefits so they can check the rates for you.
Another point to note is when checking out, do ensure that the $50 credit is deducted from your bill - a couple of times for me it has not been, although they immediately do it when I bring it to their attention. A lot of RC front desk staff are not aware of the promotion either.

A newer development is that most RCs now require a fax from CTS to confirm Centurion benefits (too many booking on the AXC code without actually having the Cent. I guess). If your CTS agent will do that then you are all set.
