I am coming out to NZ for a year in October, I hace recently purchased a large bag for the trip - 140 litres. I know that a 32kg limit will apply to the bag but will its size be an issue, it is quite large! I am booked in Pacific class (H fare) and hoping to upgarde with my *A vouchers (what do people think my chnces are as a UA *S). I assume I get booked class limits and can't bank on my upgrade so will the following be ok?

140 Litre bag <32kg
Suit carrier <32kg
Laptop bag
1 carry on bag <7kg

So my main question is does the dimentions of a checked bag matter or just its weight?

OT - I cant wait to get back out to NZ!

Thanks,

Both matter. See:

May be time to get my tape measure out then, I think it will be close:

Anyidea if they will be flexable, the suit carrier will be much smaller.
