Has anyone else seen this picture
http://www.skyliner-aviation.de/viewphoto.main?LC=&picid=1311

Is it genuine or doctored? If genuine, does anyone know if this livery is temporary until delivery to Air NZ? I note that aircraft still has French registration. Anyone know when it is due for delivery?

I am crew for NZ and haven't seen any aircraft in Star Alliance colours. Any information on this at all would be appreciated.

IIRC I saw somewhere else that maybe this had already arrived? Havent seen it myself, although fairly recently there was a Thai a/c in *A livery here at AKL.

-OJH entered service a few days ago, slightly ahead of schedule to cover unplanned maintenance requirements on another aircraft. She's mainly to be found on the MEL and SYD runs for the first couple of weeks. :D

Thanks - I'd guessed MEL & SYD runs ;) but had no idea it has arrived and in service. Something to look out for.

As I was boarding NZ144 SYD-WLG on Thursday 16th, I noticed some odd black markings to the right of the door. I then realised this was the edge of the large "S" of "Star Alliance". Inside it was identical to the rest of the A320 fleet, though of course very shiny and new. During his comments, the captain made a point of welcoming us on board "the newest aircraft in the Air New Zealand fleet, which has only been in operation for 7 days" or words to that effect. I spotted it again in WLG on Saturday morning, though this morning's flight on NZ141 was on one of the regular 320s.

I shoulda known you'd be the first FTer - trust you "christened" her okay with some fine marlborough wine.

Actually, I was appalled to discover that (for the second time recently on Tasman Express) they had no sauvignon blanc on board. It seemed that the only white wine choice (apart from bubbles) was Montana Gisborne chardonnay, which is pretty disappointing stuff. This was especially annoying because the '04 vintage Montana savvie is the best in years. Oh well, at least it ensured that I arrived in WLG not too much the worse for wear. They had good wine in the lounge in SYD, though, so I got my sauvignon fix there.

Your post has just reminded me that an email to AirNZ customer service is in order - I've been meaning to say something for ages about how disgraceful it is to brand their food/beverage as 'your cafe in the sky' and then serve instant coffee (especially when this month there's an excellent article in the inflight magazine about NZ's premium coffee culture), so now I can kill two birds with one stone. I really shouldn't have to suffer like this - don't they know I have a reputation to uphold? :D

That is terrible news about the Savvie? I flew across to WLG the week before last and the only white wine was the Gisborne Montana Chardie. The Purser on the return WLG - SYD apologised profusely and said the Sav seems to have just disappeared completely!!!

How was BHE and NPL??????

Sounds like a recent change for the worst. Could have sworn I had some a few weeks ago?
