Hi all

Further to Ozstamps thread on getting stacks of Hilton points by transferring orphan bonus miles from various FF accounts I wish to ask the following.

Shortly my Frecuenta miles will be transferred to Hilton. Yay.

However I am sitting here examining my orphan miles. I have 8,000 kilometres, 4000
of which expire at the end of this year. Can I transfer these to Hilton or Marriott or somewhere else useful?

I also have

4,000 Aeromexico miles,
5,000 Latinpass miles
1,000 Smiles miles

Any ideas - anybody successfully transferred
these to Hilton? Or anywhere else useful for that matter?

cheers Peter

If your 5,000 LatinPass miles were from an enrollment bonus, then they're completely worthless. They can't be transferred to Marriott or Hilton or even used on a partner award ticket with US, KL, or TW. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Not good

I have however written to Latinpass asking that they transfer my miles to Marriott (fingers crossed - you never know).

I have some good news however. I visited the Lanpass site and they are giving away 1500 kilometres for updating your profile. Shades of the Hilton promotion methinks! Anyway this will bring me up to 9500 points. I should get 1000 bonus points for christmas which will give me enough to transfer!

10,000 points = 10,000 Hilton points!

Ditto for my spouse.

cheers Peter

A while ago I asked Guy Booth of Latin Pass if any Latin Pass miles can be converted to Hilton and he said yes.

How are those guys going that got the million latin pass miles? Always was interested if they would get them all transferred?

I have also found Starwood very useful at times for this.
