According to this (http://taxiwayalpha.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=721), bmi regional are starting an Edinburgh-Munich service.

Hmmm. A certain journalist ;) did write about the possibility of other airlines jumping into the old Duo routes ex EDI. But EDI-MUC idea was just kite-flying from Alex Grant. LH would have to be heavily involved; they're not very excited by it, even with expanding MUC as a hub, and they're concerned about thinning the FRA traffic too much. Until they change their mind I can't see EDI-MUC happening with BD.

EDI/MAN-MOW, anyone? It would undoubtedly be very high yield (noting that CX is rumored to be establishing MAN-MOW as well).

Transaero fly DME-EDI, but I'm fairly sure that it isn't very high yield.

Or even high load, for that matter.

This is great news, since a EDI-MUC service will be quite handy for me.
Unfortunately though, they seem to have adapted LH's pricing policy by not allowing one-ways in Economy at a decent price.

Isn't it strange to see regional centres like EDI and EMA begin to build up routes befitting a proper business oriented airline? CPH, MUC, BRU, CDG -- all with (shock horror!) multiple-daily flights and useful schedules.

It seems a shame that LH and SK chose to screw BD's Northern European operations when it joined *A. Look how BA embraced its oneworld partners -- now Spanish and Finnish routes are completely dominated by the duopolies.

Seems to be the standard bmi European structure to me. There seem to be some excellent fares available.
