Hertz - Gold offers and non-gold customers?

A friend of mine needs a rental for next weekend. The best rate I found is with a weekend special gold member offer. I think the friend is a plain #1 club member, but not a gold member.

If they use the gold PC offer I found, will anyone check or care that they are not gold? I assume not, but I thought I would ask.

Thanks,
BillJ

Have them try making the reservation with the Gold PC online and see if the booking engine will take it. If it will, chances are the agent will too..

FWIW, I've seen PC's just as good as the Gold ones on AAA and the agents at my station never ask for any ID to use them.

Try several things because Hertz allows you do combine coupons sometimes:

(1) always try AAA, even the area WHERE you are going because AAA's have their own local websites. They usually do not require the state specific AAA member [unlike certain offers at say Six Flags that are for home state residents only]

(2) try the gold route and say you got an email about; if they dispute it say you got it by accident and you want to have them use the offer, they will not ask for the email at the counter

(3) get an entertainment book for any locale. they CP's are reusable because they are considered 'noncoupons' for some reason. IF you need some, let me know via PM and I can provide you some codes to try.
