SAS EuroBonus - The Swedish Government Boycott SASView Full Version : The Swedish Government Boycott SAS Flying-Jet Jul 27, 04, 10:37 pm Good Luck FLY ME //Flying-Jet Gustaf Jul 27, 04, 11:47 pm At least they try to save on our tax money :p Honestly, it wouldn’t be good if the government picked SAS as main carrier just because they own shares of the company rather than going for the lowest price. It is sad for SAS who most certainly needed this deal, but they did a bad job when turning this tender in, underestimating their opponents :( Point_Chaser Jul 29, 04, 3:27 am And yesterday they decided to give ARN-CPH, OSL, LLA and UME to Nordic Airlink (LF). So this must be a bit worrying for SAS... I have no doubt LF will be here in the long run as well (and they are SAS's greatest worry at the moment according to the people on the SAS Swedish Tour), but I have my doubts about FlyMe! It smells so much like GoodJet! And how can they prefer FlyMe's 4 daily departures (to MMX) over SAS's 13?! It doesn't come as a surprise though... The government hasn't really been supportive of Swedish industry in the past (PM driving all other cars than Volvo or SAAB, communication minister encouraging people to buy Nokia etc. etc...). Point_Chaser Jul 29, 04, 3:46 am And SWE-FLY (!) got ARN-KLR, RNB... cph_flyer Jul 29, 04, 4:47 am ..... but I have my doubts about FlyMe! It smells so much like GoodJet! Ah, good ole Goodjet ! I flew Sturup- Paris (BVA) with them in 2002 - price 1 Skr..! :p kempis Jul 29, 04, 5:09 am And yesterday they decided to give ARN-CPH, OSL, LLA and UME to Nordic Airlink (LF). In what city did you visit the trailer? Gnopps Jul 29, 04, 6:36 am I have no doubt LF will be here in the long run as well (and they are SAS's greatest worry at the moment according to the people on the SAS Swedish Tour), but I have my doubts about FlyMe! It is just that STO-MMX FlyMe is their first choice, isn't it so? Then in doesn't matter so much that they have less departures I guess. Point_Chaser Jul 30, 04, 11:16 am So what did you think about the tour? I thought it was quite good actually. Had a good chat with one on the market side, and he talked about the developments and what they were looking at at the moment... We talked about accrual levels, service levels and concepts, new routes etc, so it was quite interesting. And they were extremely interested in hearing what I thought and how I looked at things. It really strikes me how much they really seem to be listening to their customers... There are a few changes approaching us, but hopefully they aren't all that bad as I feared..! |
