EnvoyBoy Jul 27, 04, 8:49 pm Burlington is one of the most expensives places I rent with Hertz--easily twice as much as the best rates I can get in even SFO. I don't what's going on in Vt. but the rates have historically been out of control. BigJC Jul 27, 04, 9:53 pm Using your dates @ BVT w/AAA CDP I got back a base rate of $186 on the compact ($230 all-in) and $194 on the midsize ($240). When I added the Freedom Rate RQ - FRDM, it dropped the compact to $161.10/$200.32 and a ten-spot more for the midsize. So, as UpgradeMe put it, it depends on what you mean by "good price". davemosl Jul 28, 04, 10:08 am Yeah those are about the rates I've been getting. Thanks for the help regardless though. I was just boggled as to why renting cars is so expensive in Burlington. noah Jul 28, 04, 9:17 pm Yeah those are about the rates I've been getting. Thanks for the help regardless though. Perhaps this is why you're renting at BTV but if you're not, you should be aware that the final Phish show will be in Vermont from the 13th - 16th and many travelers are flying into BTV (I'm flying into MHT since it was cheaper) My guess is that they're also eating into the inventory of cheaper cars.
