Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Priceline eBay Anything Points Question

I'm hoping some of you can answer my eBay/Priceline Anything Points question. I registered for eBay Anything Points using my eBay user ID and my Paypal account email address, then booked a hotel room on Saturday using the Priceline "Partner Link". Before I could book the room, it asked for my eBay user ID which I entered, unfortunately I still am not showing any points in my Paypal account.

Since the points are supposed to post within a couple days, did I make a mistake somewhere? Am I supposed to enter my Anthing Points Account Number in the eBay user ID space instead of entering my eBay user ID? Since it didn't ask for my Anything Points Account number, how was I supposed to know to enter that instead?

Please help because I want to start earning these points!

Thanks,
Touringuy

You input your EBay ID name for the credit. Seeing the credit itself is a bit tricky since you can't see it directly on PayPal (at least I haven't figured out how). I normally go to the Site Map section on Ebay and then the Ebay Anything Points link that end up on PayPal to see my posted points.

My points from a saturday priceline win have not posted yet either. 2 days is the norm, but i would not worry for another day or two.

There can be problems. I posted of one; I didn't get it resolved in three phone calls to Priceline. Then, when I got back from Europe, there was a message on my answering machine that I should call and give them my eBay user ID and they would fix it. I called and there was a message the next day that I should expect the points to post within 48 hours. It took a little longer and they posted; they showed on Paypal before they did on Points.com. By this time I'd missed the deadline for the double AA miles, but I was too tired of this to follow up. So you may need to follow up; I started with Priceline's online help form; each time I got an e-mail saying I needed to call and listen to lots of recordings before reaching someone. Maybe with experience they've improved their service; there was some indication of that in my earlier thread.

Well my points never did post from my 24-july bid. The confirm page has the ebay symbol too. This is the first ebay/priceline screw up for me in over 50 bids......

touringuy, do you have the number you called to get this corrected.

After making an initial Priceline bid using the eBay link on Saturday, July 24, I made two subsequent Priceline bids using the link, one on Monday and another on Tuesday. Yesterday I received 1500 Anything Points and just now today I received an additional 1500 Anything Points. From looking at the details of the points transaction, it is not possible to tell which bids successfully posted these points, but if no more points are credited by the end of this week I will assume the bid placed Saturday failed to generate any points.

Perhaps the bid placed Saturday did not generate any points for me because the bid was placed by a friend using his credit card, even though the reservation was made in my name and my eBay ID was used during the transaction. The two subsequent bids were made with my credit card and seem to have properly generated the points.

By the way, RichLond, I wasn't the one who posted about the number to call. I hope you work things out with Priceline.

I'm missing points from a bid made on 24th July as well, so its probably some sort of system error from that date.

It doesn't matter if you make a reservation for a friend using their credit card. Early in this promotion, back in May, I did a bid for a friend in his name and using his credit card but my EBay ID - I got the points.

The phone number I called that finally led to a resolution was 800-340-0575. Have your request number ready to punch in.

Me too -- I placed a winning bid on 7/24 and still don't have the points.

Grr, waiting on points from a car rental that never posted, maybe I'll follow up later. They aren't going to post on their own as it's been about 3 weeks. All my other points have posted fine.

Booked a hotel and car rental stay through the eBay link on July 23 and never got any points. Contacted the 800 number to PL cust service today (8/11). I was told my case will be escalated to the "research department" and to expect an answer within three business days. We'll see.....

Three 5-Star bookings Aug 4, no points. They used to post without a hitch the very next day based on my experience. Emailing Priceline now.

Update - Priceline replied in 45 minutes, basically "we owe you 4500 points and they should be available within 30 business days".
