MilesBuzz! - Citibank account aggregator replace MileTracker?

Has anyone used Citibank's account aggregator (for account holders, I assume) to replace MileTracker in our time of need? I use Citibank, and have gone too long without a one-step mileage checker.

Try this:

https://www.yodlee.com/newarch/index.do

It's the same people (Yodlee) that power the aggregation for Citibank, AOL, Yahoo, etc, but this is their independant site. So, should you stop being a Citibank, AOL, Yahoo, etc. customer, you won't be left out in the cold. They are great at aggregating financial as well as frequent flyer accounts. From the link, just click on "register now."

Does anyone have any idea as to the security risk in using Yodlee vs the Citibank aggregator? Could Citibank be held liable for any leaked data from their site?

I've used Yodlee for over 4 years with no problems, but I suppose there is always a possibility. I think they claim that there is no way that any of their employees can get access to passwords, etc. and I think they have some sort of insurance to back you up if there were to be a problem...read their terms and conditions for these type of details.

If you're extremely concerned, I suppose you could just store info on Frequent Flyer accounts and not use them for your financial accounts. That would limit your exposure.

When you use it through citibank, I think your data just goes straight into Yodlee's computers, so citibank doesn't really ever see it. Since their name is on the product though, I suppose it's one more party you could sue if there ever were a problem.

Actually, here's their security policy:

I, too, am a Yodlee user and fan. Highly recommended.

I use Citibank aggregator. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't automatically update some FF accounts, e.g. BA and UAL, while others like Delta or Starwood are automatically updated daily. Is it just me, or others noticed that too?

I've been using the Citibank accounts aggregator for quite sometime. I just discovered Yodlee's new "OnCenter" but cannot get it to work with my Starwood account. I've tried other family member's Starwood accounts too but without success. I've emailed Yodlee three times but they never respond. Has anyone else had problems with the Yodlee OnCenter posting Starwood account info?

I don't use the Yodlee site directly but I do have my Starwood account set up in the Fidelity Investments account aggregator (Full View) which is also powered by Yodlee. I've never had a problem with it updating.

They always suggest if you're having problems that you try deleting the account and adding it again. Sometimes this actually works.

Just for grins I thought I'd set up a Yodlee OnCenter account and try to add my Starpoints account. I did--and everything works fine.

This site is definitely worth exploring. It appears to have some nice features.

This yodlee is great. Thanks for the info. Works better for me than Deskport.

Hi all...1st post here...
I am a lurker who is now only 99 posts away from being able to use coupon connection right :)

I used to do some work with yodlee. Pretty good company. Their model really becomes valuable to the aggregator (Citi or aol) if they start to mine the data.

ie customer has 40K AA miles...Lets offer him the citi aa card.

another example..customers home loan is at 7% on 30 yr fixed..offer them current rate and a no points etc.

anyway as to the question of what to what to watch out for...the program was down for two weeks a while ago and it made it difficult for me to do anything financially.

Other than that they are great

I'm still pulling my hair out trying to get this to work. I have almost all my other FF and hotel accounts on there without any problems. I just tried deleting my Starwood account and adding it again, (for about the 10th time,) but without success. I even went to the Starwood site, changed my username and password and then did the same at OnCenter. But nothing seems to work. I thought it may be a temporary problem but I've tried numerous times over the past few weeks. As I said in my other post, I cannot get other family members' Starwood accounts to work on OnCenter either. In addition, I use Yodlee's old accounts aggregator through my online Citibank account where my Starwood account info shows up without a problem. Go figure.

That's odd. I just checked and my SPG numbers show up on Fidelity's Full View just fine.

I've had problems with other accounts in the past and spent months ping-pong'ing between Fidelity and Yodlee support. It magically was fixed about a year after I raised it. Hopefully uou have better luck.

Yes, it's gone (as of a couple of months ago). It was run by Yodlee, so you might find Yodlee OnCenter (https://www.yodlee.com/newarch/index.do) to be a comparable replacement.

There was a really good article in the Rocky Mountain News recently that said in the new year that Wells Fargo was ending the idea of these financial aggregators and it was perhaps signaling the death of what was considered a hot topic. The article mentioned other banks no longer offering it as well and that Yodlee was really headed in the direction of bill paying services and other things rather than spending any time with their aggregator services.

For all the worry about losing these services from banks and the ups and downs of Mile Tracker, I've always been simply amazed at how much time people on FlyerTalk have spent changing and trying to correct something that was free. By the time you would add up the time changing vendors, worrying about up time and all that.... you could have easy been very happy with the original mileage management tool - MileageManager.com. It has more tools and reminders and anyone else and I don't think you've seen any complaints about the service for years and years on FlyerTalk which means it likely works rather well. For a small annual fee you get the best tool in the business, the one that's been around the longest and the one that has the largest user base. I know, none of that counts because it's not free. Oh well, for my money, i'd rather not have to contribute to and have to read threads on FlyerTalk about it not working.....

Anyway, the article did make it sound like the Yodlee-type services were not being supported into the future.

I put all my account information into my Fidelity (Yodlee-based) tracker several years ago and it has always provided me with current, accurate infomation, has rarely, if ever, been down, and consolidates both my miles/points balances with my credit cards, bank statements, financial information, etc.

Free.

Yes, if it goes away, I would consider a fee-for-service model. But I suffer none of the challenges Randy mentions.

Randy (or anyone else who can answer),

I'm considering signing up for MileageManager.com. Is there a way to make sure the Flyertalk get the appropriate "credit" for this transaction? (Are there any current ads or other links that I can click through?) I don't want to lose the opportunity to "pay back" for the service that you provide.

Not sure exactly what you mean by FT getting credit...but as Randy owns www.mileagemanager.com you are supporting him and his business network (webflyer.com) buy signing up any way you do.
