I'm guessing this person isn't an FT'er or it's someone who's selling their ex's miles - hopefully no one on this board is this dumb!
(Moderators, I thought this should be in Milesbuzz - move or delete as needed)

I don't know what struck me as dumber - the fact that the person is trying to sell miles, or that they actually believe that PayPal protects both buyer and seller. ;)

Neither. I vote for the fact that he lists his FF account numbers for both airlines.

Struck me as pretty dumb to include a SM and MP account number. Sheesh.

Unless, of course, the owner of the mileage numbers is being framed.

I completely glossed over that. May I change my vote? :D

They might ask you for my miles account number, so it is {removed by moderator} for Delta and {removed by moderator} for United

Actually, this may be legal.
I know that Delta does not allow the sale (or gift) of miles but it does allow me to use my miles to buy a ticket for someone else -- and there is nothing written on the website prohibiting me from selling that ticket.

The person whose FF numbers are posted there could be subject to someone fraudulently using his miles for an e-ticket for someone else. Bad idea.

A conspiracist!
Actually, this may be legal.
Legal or not, the way the person went about it wasn't too smart.

If you are in a hurry, do your reservation then call my cell {removed by moderator} to make sure we do it all "in time".
"To protect myself from fraud.."
Too late!

Has anyone called the cell number to see if this guy is the worlds greatest idiot or if this is a fake number?

Not someone I want or need to talk to in either case.

Looks like he removed the account numbers. Maybe he is a FTer :D Anywho, look at post number 8 to see what he wrote.
