I haven't seen this comparison in this forum. Can someone give us some information about a comparison between SQ and ANA ? I am considering taking a trip next month from JFK to NRT/SIN and wasn't sure if I wanted to do the SQ nonstop or transit through NRT on ANA. I have heard a lot of good things about New Style Club ANA. Is the service superior to SQ Raffles Class ?

I think the Spacebed on the A345 is slight narrower but has more legroom than the B777 or the B744.

The service and food/drink selection on NH beats SQ. However the Spacebed in all it's forms beats the New Club ANA seat which I found overly small and lacking in flatness and length.
It's a tough choice for you as a transit through NRT isn't a totally relaxingt experience - and is New Club available on the NRT - SIN sector?

No, the New Club is not available on the NRT-SIN sector. I am actually flying an SQ 744 t0 NRT then picking up ANA to JFK. Does the New Club seat lie flat ? In the pictures, it does not look even near flat.
I've never flown on SQ C, but the new NH does lie "flat"... well, sort of, under the recent definition of lie-flat business class seats. Again, I am not
sure how significantly better the Spacebeds are, but in my opinion all of the angled business class seats are more or less the same in terms of comfort. The NH seats are most comparable to the LH / CX products (same manufacturers??) and will have a noticeable slant to the floor. Many people seem to complain about this, but I still find these "flat" seats much more comfortable vs the older generation seats and there is also much more privacy from your surroundings. the upperdeck environment is superb and the food / service is excellent on this route. new NH is definetely worth a try.

You could argue it is flat....but not horizontal! My quality of sleep on a flat-on-an-incline seat is normally determined by how tired I am. On a BA flat bed or on a F suite I sleep well regardless of how i am feeling.
I would go with ANA, it is a very enjoyable experience and I did enjoy the Kaiseki meal option!
