I am flying from PHL to RDU by way of LGA

PHL-LGA
July 23-Flight 3770 4:20pm-5:29pm

LGA-RDU
July 23-Flight 3415 6:05pm-7:52pm

I checked the flights on ITN and the LGA to RDU flight is showing all zero in fact its x so you can't even by a ticket. So two questions.

1. Can I ask to be put on the list for the LGA flight when I checkin in PHL? I ask because its a tight connect and I may not be able to get on the list after I arrive.

2. The ticket was actually purchased as a United codeshare does that mean I could stand by for an earlier flight out of Philly?

I realize that I probably shouldn't of booked that tight a connect from Philly to LGA and also that the bump may not materialize but I want to position myself as well as possible in the vent it does.

Thnks

Not sure about being put on the VDB list (aka bump list).

Since you're on a codeshare (I'm assuming UA ticket, US metal) you should be able to standby same-day for the earlier flight.

Not to nit-pick on your travel plans, but why did you decide to connect at LGA? I know its a moot point now, but I would of either have taken the direct, i think there is 5 or 6 a day, or if you were going for miles connect through CLT.

I purchased the ticket through LGA because it was $49.37 the direct option was pricing at $120 so I went with the cheapest option.
