I know this isn’t exactly a US topic, but since this is where I spend most of my time I thought I would post it here. I am going into my last semester of college. In December I will graduate with a Degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University. Naturally, I am going to be looking for a full time position, my past work experience includes 3-4 years Retail sales with a large company known for their customer service. Also, I am in the middle of my second summer internship with a fortune 500 company working in Web-Development, mainly Project management. I have some development skills, HTML & JavaScript. I am proficient in Photoshop, MS Office, Interwoven, Adobe Acrobat; I am just learning Fireworks and the rest of Studio. I have been actively involved in dozens of website launches. I am a people person and a go getter can work well with groups and/or without a lot of direction. I am really open to anything, any location, travel, no travel. Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

With your degree in Poly Sci, and your listed computer background, have you tried to solicit work for politicians running their websites? How about looking for special interest groups? Anymore, just about anyone has a website (except the WV Rednecks where I'm at... they won't even take a FREE site as the Internet is Satan). I read an article the other day about Kerry using the Internet as a major way to campaign. I'm sure other candidates/politicians would want the same.

Thanks Jimcfsus, I have thought about that and might work with a grassroots through the fall. Aside from the thank you this post also serves as a BUMP

Perhaps you could help US fix their website? You could ask for a job at Roachfest.

Funny thing, I was on Monster.com the other day and they actually had an ad up for a web developer position.
Bump :)

If you are coming to RoachFest, bring a resume, as I think the head of their e-commerce division is going to be there. Would be a good think if we could get a fellow FTer on board there. ;)
