My profile says I last visited in Dec 1969, be assured this is false as I was two years old. As a frequent traveler (of CO) I am out of ideas to give a gift of travel to my parents for their 40th anniversary...

They are going to Sicily next year, however on a "Perillo Tour" so I can't donate to fly them first class mileage (on some charter, they don't stay in 4+ star hotels, so I can't auction a cool dinner or special bottle of champagne at a nice hotel etc...

Are there any CO mieage travel gifts or any monetary of any value to give them towards their trip to Sicily or anything else for that matter (Lobster feast?)? I am out of ideas for a big gift but always have "travel" in mind as sometimes it is the best gift and I have miles to give..thanks so much.

Welcome Alaboutme,
Just because your parents are traveling for their anniversary doesn't mean you can't give them a trip that they can take at another time.

Have they travelled a lot? If not, send them back to Italy and give them a week in Rome, or something. If you have tons of points, then cash some for their hotel too.

If they have travelled regularly, then let us know where, and people here can recommend some more unusual places. For example, Iceland or someplace.

Good luck.

Actually, I'm inclined to wait for some clarification from the original poster.

I think AlAboutMe is saying:
- Have lots of mileage
- It's with CO OnePass
- Can I redeem the miles for anything that would be useful for the trip, outside of flights and hotel nights which are already locked it?

If that's the case it may be that it is a mileage question and that the Continental forum is that place most likely to garner the best answer. But I'll leave this here pending clarification, and if it turns out that the question will get a better answer somewhere else I'd be happy to oblige by moving it.

I realize it may be too late for this, but you can book Perillo land only, and provide your own airfare. You may want to see if that is an option. It would save them money and you could send them FC.
