Starwood Preferred Guest - Best hotel around LA?

Hi. I'm going to be staying Fri-Sun in Los Angeles with a buddy. We'll be going to see the Dodgers and Hollywood (and whatever else you suggest :) )

Question - which Starwood properties would you recommend staying at in LA? I'm Platinum and have a gazillion points...

Stay at the W Hotel in Westwood (if you are under 40) or St. Regis in Century City otherwise. These are two of the best hotels in the LA area.

The St. Regis has the best rooms and spa, the W has the best bar and pool scene.

I would stay at the St Regis - the hotel and service is much nicer. The W location is a little better, but you'll be driving anyway...

Haven't stayed at W, but recent St Regis stay was very nice. Try for a corner room if possible. Large space with sitting area and 2 balconies.
