Hey - I'm moving to Langley indefinitely and was planning on spending 3 nights in Seattle/Vancouver before going there. I was initially going to spend Thus and Fri night in Seattle at the Westin and W but can't get the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver Sat night. Because of this, I'm spending Thursday at the W, Friday at the Bayshore and Sat at the Westin Grand. I've heard nice things about the Bayshore but I was wondering if it's really worth me cutting my time in Seattle to just one night. This is my first time in Seattle and I still don't know what I'd end up doing but if anyone could let me know what I'd be missing out on and whether the Bayshore's that nice, I'd really appreciate it
If you're moving to Langley on Whidbey, you'll be about 60 minutes away from Seattle, including the ferry ride. So you can always swing down for an afternoon. That said, I much prefer Vancouver (feels like a real city) over Seattle (doesn't feel like a real city, much as it tries). You should have a good time!

The Westin Bayshore is amazing. I was just there for 4 nights. It is located right on the water, next to the mountains beside Stanley Park. All the room shave floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall windows, with large sliding doors that open to the great outdoors.
Make sure to book a seaview room in the tower, high floor.
You will not go wrong. Especially paying Canadian dollars.

That sounds like a great itinerary. You'll have plenty of chance to see Seattle.

Hey – thanks for the replies. It’s actually Langley BC I’m moving to but judging by the responses, I’ll probably stick with 2 nights in Vancouver. I guess can always take in Seattle over a weekend since I’m still pretty close. Thanks again for the responses

We just stayed at the Bayshore for 6 nights last week. We were in the 18th floor of the tower - amazing views. The bathrooms are a bit small, but the view is great. The seaplanes fly right by the tower in the morning on final approach. Seems to be busiest between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.
Stayed on points as a gold and got the great view room in the tower!
