Trip Reports - Dallas Gig

I had a quick Dallas consulting gig last week. Here's a couple of good places I found:

[1] Cool River, see http://www.coolrivercafe.com/Dallas/index.htm This place is a great restaurant and bar. Good place to people-watch also. Younger crowd mostly, 20-30's, but also 40-50's. There is also a separate cigar room. The dress is somewhat casual upscale.

[2] Arthur's see, http://www.dallasdinesout.com/restrant/a/arthurs/information.htm#dancefloor I really liked this place. Definitely an older and "well established" crowd, 40-50's. Fantastic looking ladies at the bar, and they dress well, as do most ladies in Dallas.

I have more gigs coming up in this town, and will of course find other cool places to wine & dine :) .

Previous work in Dallas was mostly in downtown or Addison areas. Now I am doing more in the Irving/Las Colinas area. I found the DFW Sheraton Grand to be marginal, however I really liked the Marriott in Las Colinas. My dilemma is that I really value my SPG points for free hotel stays, and hence would normally use the Sheraton. Right now my Marriott points feed to my OnePass account with CO.
