Hi all.
I would like to know if CX is flying the A340-600 on the BKK-HKG or HKG-TPE routes? If yes, can you tell me which flight it is?
Also which one's better between TG and CX in business class?
Thanks for your help.

CX is better than TG in Business Class.
There seems to be only one flight where the A346 is scheduled to fly between BKK and HKG. And it's not every day either.
If you go on to the CX website, you may show the 'odd' flights which has the 346 flying on those routes. Check with reservations as to which flights has the A346 flying before you book. Note that aircraft changes are frequent and you might end up with something completely different.

Good Lord, you are trying to compare TG and CX's J between HKG-BKK?
Flew both recently and CX definitely has a better product. Seat comform, IFE, cabin crew and catering.

I've flown A346 HKG-TPE and it was the 9 am flight. It might have been a substitution as F wasn't sold on that flight (this was in May 2004).

CX has three 346s and only two are required for the HKG-JFK-HKG route. The third is, presumably designated as a spare (not that they would keep one inactive to use as a spare while the other two rack-up hours -- they would rotate them) and I would imagine they would want to keep it near enough to HKG whereby it could be pressed into service if need be with little advance notice. I suspect, this means it is making rounds on the regional routes as opposed to routing to Australia, where it would be upwards of half a day away from HKG if it is needed. This is, of course, entirely speculation and I could be wrong.

HKG-SYD has been operated using A346 (don't know if it still is, just remember it showing up on the schedule when I booked MEL-HKG using A330 ... really negligible difference in the F cabin between these 2 planes).
