If any FTers find themselves in Manchester, this is recommended:
I popped into my local Mall today (the Trafford Centre) and was suprised to come across a new shop called "Must Have It". Anyway, I can only describe this place as almost perfect for lovers of small desirable items (in other words, the typical FT travel addict). This place sold everything from the latest Swiss Army knives, digital radios, digital music players (though Selfridges beat them a bit in this department because they sell iRiver too), PDAs etc. Looking at the web, this store looks like a bit of a one off at the moment. The Trafford Centre's own description of it is:
"must have IT is a brand new store for people who only want the original and the most exclusive. From cutting edge, techy gadgets, to the fastest in nitro remote control trucks and cards. From stunning lighting and stylish watches to the most distinctive home ware you'll ever see. must have IT is an ultra modern, up-to-the-minute store packed with all the things you just can't live without."
Oh, and even I was tempted by the remote control cars (something that normally just doesn't appeal to me).
