Star Alliance - how to get star bonuses on RTW tickets

Hello,
I travel mostly on Star RTW's in A or D. Used to be I would arrange me routings to take advantage of the specials of the different airlines (mostly LH and UA, like talking the UA ORD-KIX flight as two one ways on two different RTWs going in opposite directions to get the bonus). Lately, it seems like they have both become smarter about this forcing round trips, on tickets that have been purchased in the US etc. etc.

Any ideas on the maximization of miles/bonuses on *A by using RTW tickets. Is there a thread around this topic of maximzing bonuses using RTW tickets.

My next routing is on an FSTAR3 ticket:
Already flown BOM-FRA-EWR
going to fly: EWR-DEN-SAN-SFO-IAD-PIT-ORD-LHR-CDG-NRT-BKK-DEL

so an example is can I take advantage of the current IAD bonus by flying EWR-IAD-SAN-SFO-IAD... and getting the IAD bonus (my interpretation of the rules are that I can not  ).

Any help would be appreciated.

I realize that I haven't answered your question, but I should point out that the routing above is not RTW. You have two transAtlantic crossings and no transPacific crossing.

How about adding IAD-RIC-IAD or something like that?
