They use a combination of channel bonding and packet bursting to get a proprietary 108mbps. PC Mag gave it a 3/5, but for $49, what do you want??

Ont thing weird about this particular router is that it comes in two variants depending on chipset. The support web page (http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WGT624.asp) has some information on this. It's not clear to me if there are functional differences.

When I saw the cheapo price I wondered if it was a fire sale.
