Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX is going non-stop to YYZ

Cathay Pacific's internal site says they are doing non-stop from HKG- YYZ in late October or early November. Did anyone heard anything like this?

While I can't confirm this is true, it may be a result of the recent announcement by Air Canada to do the same. AC starts direct on this route in August.

But CX flies nonstop HKG-YYZ in the winter anyway. It's the YYZ-HKG sector that has to go nonstop, if it wants to compete with AC. But the A340-300 does not have the range to do the westerly direction.
