Does anyone know if the London Park Lane Hilton and the Paris Arch de Triumphe locations have U.S. style 110V electrical outlets in the rooms?

Thanks!

If they do it's probably only in the bathroom.

You can get a converter for under $20 that will handle up to 2000 watts, I saw one in the sharper image outlet store this weekend with all the necessary adapters to work most anyplace in the world and convert to 110.

Do a froogle.google.com on travel voltage converter, over 100 will come up.

There are 2 very different types of converters 240v to 120v and each is used for different purposes. Most hotels will have lower power 120v outlets in the bathroom or you can borrow a converter from housekeeping. Both hotels come equipped with hairdryers in each room (but hidden in the desk drawer).

When I arrived into the London Park Lane last time a converter was already in my room. No charge. I just assume they new my request from a previous stay. Had the same thing at the GH Tokyo and Westin BKK. Talk about service.

I think I remember seeing the Conrad HKG equipped with regular 220/240 v U.K. as well as 110/120 U.S. sockets and not in the bathroom only. Only one in the world I've seen.

Having been in both the London Park Lane and the Hilton Arc De Triomphe I can say thet there are no 110v outlets in the room itself, only the shaver one in the bathroom. You will need to get an adaptor and if you power has to be 110 a converter. English plugs and European plugs are different. London uses the tri blade style and Paris uses the two round prong style. You can get what you need from the hotels when you check in.

Only place I have stayed out of the US where there is 110 in the room are the executive rooms at the Conrad in Singapore.
