As some of you know, I have been developing a new cross platform mileage calculator and tracker, tentatively named CoMETS. I have just posted a new set of screen shots (http://homepage.mac.com/fredtaub/CoMETS/CoMETS.html) to give you a preview. Beta testing should begin soon.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Fred, this looks awesome! Some really great features.

One of the things I find useful about my spreadsheet is that I can track my "planned" flights through the end of the year. (For example, I'm flying to BKK in October.) This gives me an idea of how far I am from making my goals by year-end and how much I need to MR before it's too late.

Does CoMETS give you the ability to see (a) current YTD EQMs as well as (b) expected EQMs for the year? In that sense, it would also be a forecasting tool.

This will be a Mac application?

This will be a Mac application?

I'm developing CoMETS on a Mac using FileMaker Developer. FileMaker is completely cross platform, however, and I will create standalone apps for both Mac and Windows.

Currently, any trip you enter into CoMETS will be included in the Summary (http://homepage.mac.com/fredtaub/CoMETS/CoMETS-Pages/Image0.html) page for the FF program and date specified. I've added checkboxes for Purchased and Flown on the Itineraries (http://homepage.mac.com/fredtaub/CoMETS/CoMETS-Pages/Image0.html) page, but I have not yet decided how to handle this information. This is an important feature and I hope to implement an elegant way to handle it.

A nice and useful program. I look forward to using it!

Do you recall Max Miles? I think they had some very useful things on their software.. It may be worthwhile to get an old copy of that program and incorporate some of their ideas...

Still waiting for the tweaked version Fred.

1. be able to have the purchased and flown functions work.

2. be able to have a redemption tab where it will catalog how many miles you have redeemed and for what.

3. have a way to add excess EQM's RDM's per CC spend or whatever.

Thanks keep up the wasting of your free time for all of our benefits) ^

Please refrain from bumping old threads. The most current discussion of CoMETS can be found here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-discussion/360619-comets-now-available-mac-os-x-windows.html). Please continue the discussion in that thread.
