Hilton HHonors - HH Amex credit card

Does anyone know of a better current bonus offer for signing up with the HH Amex than the "standard" 10,000 bonus points shown on the HH web site? If so, how does one take advantage of it. Thanks...

The only thing better is signing up for both the HH Amex and the HH Citibank Visa card for 10,000 miles each. But use the Amex as you will get 3 points per dollar (5 points at Hilton properties) versus 2 and 3 for the Citibank card.
Besides, the Amex card has a double points promo going from June 15 to July 15 for certain types of purchases for those who live in certain targeted markets (LA is one of them, where I live).

I received my 10k bonus points from Amex shortly after receiving my card. But its been a few months of charge activity and still no sign of regular Amex points posting to HHonors. How long does it typically take for both the HHonors Amex and Citibank card to post?

I don't think I've ever seen a delay in points posting to my HH account beyond a couple days. But...you might check to see if another, new, HH acct was opened for you by mistake. That happened when my husband opened his HH AMEX, even tho' he had given them his exiting HH acct #. (although that's doesn't seem likely since you got the bonus points...)

Sounds like a similar problem I experienced. I too had a problem with AMEX charge points posting at the beginning. It turned out that there was a slight name discrepancy between my AMEX card and my HH account (middle initial vs. no middle initial -- so incredibly minor!).

Anyway, I recommend you first ensure your names on each account match exactly. Then, contact AMEX and determine if they've attempted a points transfer, if so on what date (and if not, why not). If there has been an attempt, contact HHonors with this information and request an investigation. You may need to return to AMEX again to close the loop. I found both organizations to be very responsive. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip! It turns out one does have my middle initial and the other doesn't, so when Amex tried to transfer the points over (50,000!), HHonors bounced them. Calls into both Amex and HHonors have straightened things out.
