Starwood Preferred Guest - Starwood Preferred Guest Program Guides??

I am trying to determine who will win my business and loyalty, Starwood or Marriott. In the course of doing so, I am comparing the two programs. Marriott has supplied me with a Marriott Rewards Program Guide. I've asked Starwood for the same thing, and their Representatives state that they have no such thing, to go to the internet and download the information from the SPG website.

Is this accurate information? So far Starwood loses on service.

Thank you.

This is all we have to offer:

http://www.starwoodhotels.com/preferredguest/terms_conditions.html

It can be copied and printed to a Word document if you want to have a hard copy to carry around.

You might also want to check out this link that compares several frequent stay programs:

....but, IMHO, Starwood wins with William....

I understand Marriott has a lurker as well, but OUR lurker (I take this personally) has helped me out on several occassions.....

There is no comparison.......

To be honest, I prefer it when I can look at stuff on the web rather than getting huge packages of literature that I only look at from time to time. All that leads to is my wife calling me a packrat and telling me to clean up my junk :D (of which admittedly there is quite a bit). I'm all in favour of the paperless office!!

Starwood wins for me!
(In particularly my almost local Sheraton in Kobe where I am batting 14/15 for upgrades...in fact I almost have my own room :) )

I like the option of printed brochures and material. I don't like to bring my laptop into the bathroom, which is where I do my most productive reading. ;)

I have to agree, it's a very productive part of the house. It's where I always get my best ideas.... :D

I like a company that embraces technolgoy and ditches the paper personally.

IMHO, Starwood is the best hotel program, although I've heard others say Hyatt is. For me, Starwood has been great because my Platinum status has gotten me and my wife suite upgrades all over the world, at top hotels (St. Regis, Excelsior, El Tamarindo, etc.). I have also found their points easy to use for free stays, and they periodically run free Friday or Free Weekend programs which have given us lots of great, free stays, which are also almost always upgraded despite being free.
