InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Ambassador Status??

I am currently a Platinum Member for PC, but received an invitation for Ambassador Gold. I don't get it!!!! 150 dollars to step down to gold level???? Is there any benefit to Ambassador versus regular PC Platinum???? Thanks..........Bill

Ambassador status is for people that frequently stay at Intercontinental properties. If you only spent time at Crowne Plazas, HIs and below, don't worry about it.
