I thought I remembered reading that it capped at 100,000/year.
Am I off the mark here?

Hilton HHonors - Is there a Max limit to points in a year?View Full Version : Is there a Max limit to points in a year? liveon777 Jun 22, 04, 2:36 pm I thought I remembered reading that it capped at 100,000/year. Am I off the mark here? Bkniaz Jun 22, 04, 2:53 pm I believe the limit is 100K points per STAY, not per year. I have cleared about 120K points in the last 7 months. Though, I don't know of any actual cap. Edited for this: I do not know if that 100K points per stay is base, or base + bonus points, but my guess is base points. fromYXU Jun 22, 04, 2:55 pm 100,000 base points this year will give you Diamond status. :) So, if there is a limit (never heard of that), it's not 100,000. Eugene Jun 22, 04, 2:59 pm It's 100K base points per stay limit, bonus points may come on top of that. There is no yearly limit, except the max amount of points coming through AmEx use: "In each year of Cardmembership, HHonors bonus points earned with the Hilton HHonors Platinum Credit Card are limited to US$100,000 of spending, or 300,000 points, whichever comes first, not including bonuses. However, only two (2) Hilton HHonors points for each U.S. dollar (or U.S. dollar equivalent) of eligible spending at eligible HHonors hotels will be awarded above this limit." http://www.hilton.com/en/hhonors/terms.jhtml |
