A New York-based start-up company plans to launch a Web service in September that will allow users to compare prices and options on travel Web sites.
FareChase said it will enable consumers to save time and money by finding the best and cheapest options for airline tickets, hotel rooms, and auto rentals without having to go to multiple sites.
``FareChase is not an online travel supplier and does not sell anything,'' Motti Kirschenbaum, co-founder and chairman, said in a statement.
``By applying real-time data mining and analysis capabilities, we track the best long-term or last-minute fares on the web for the user's specific travel requirements.'' FareChase said it has the first technology that performs large-scale, real-time searches for travel data. Results are returned within ``a few seconds'' and the site will not bias towards any particular travel vendor, the company said.
