Check it out:

Looks like a match for some of the Independence Air markets, as well as quite a few of your typical "leisure" destinations (Vegas, Florida). Same triple miles promo as PHL.

This is great news to those of us based out of Virginia...no more fighting traffic to BWI for some of those lower fares!

I've taken aadvantage of IndyAir's arrival at IAD...

... but it was to book flights on AA for this summer. That single r/t 10k booking bonus for my Plat. Advantage MC did the trick.... and AA's MRTC will be just fine compared to US's ever-increasing RJ services. :o

All sales are great (of course), but the fares are higher than Indy in many of the markets. The triple miles is a huge incentive, though.

Just to clarify, it's not a sale. These fares are permanent.

Uh-huh. Not that I'm skeptical or anything...

Just checked availability from DCA and IAD to PHX on the weekend of July 9 to 11th and everything still priced out at over $500 r/t. BWI is only $273, as always :td:

What do people think as to whether US will ever introduce the Go Fares on the shuttle routes? Is it slots that are preventing an LCC from setting up an LCC shuttle? Back in the 80's and 90's there were sort of LCC shuttles like Braniff, Eastern, People Express, etc.

Also if for whatever reason many of the LCC's went out of business this weekend, not that that would happen but, would all these Go Fares be abandoned? The spin they would put on the abandonment of Go Fares would be funny, or maybe they would just raise fares without any comment. Just like glass came out of F or delli meals left the shuttle without so much as a word from headquarters to customers. Off topic, there is nothing on the web site I am aware of that tells a perspective customer no glass in F, and it is realistic for people to expect glass in F. But negative changes are rarely announced or publicized.

Not that these are really go fares, but I just snagged a Shuttle fare yesterday for $158 r/t. Not bad . . .

So hypothetically, if I'm signed up for both DCA GoFares promo and PHL GoFares promo, do I get 6x miles when I fly through PHL on my way to a place with GoFares from both airports?

Don't get too excited. AA has started cramming seats back into some of the fleet. Lots of discussion on this on the AA forum here and at usaviation.com. Probably more of their short haul fleet, like thier gazillion MD-80's. In time, maybe the whole fleet will get coach like the rest of 'em. I guess they determined that MRTC didn't attract any passengers.
