Travel Technology - Palm Tungsten C problem

Just started getting the following error message whenever turning on the Tungsten C: "Fatal Alert: DataMgr.c, Line:9529, Index out of range"
A hard reset doesn't help, because (I assume) synching reinstalls the backup files (with whatever conflict is causing this).
A google search didn't come up with anything useful.
Ideas? TIA.

OK, so I started all over and loaded my apps fresh into a fresh hard reset.
It appears to me that one of the following apps is the cause of the problem:
SnapperMail, the BART Quick Planner for Palm, The United Airlines Planner for Palm, or the Blazer Web Browser.
So before loading any of these, I'm going to get a backup program!
