US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - PHL Double/Triple miles question

Ok, I know the PHL-LAX would net about 5000miles or so, tripled to about 15000-16000 on Coach... So, does anybody know if the First/Envoy fares would be the 200% bonus times 3? Being 6times the 5000~ miles for a total of 30,000+?

Triple bonus miles apply only to actual miles- this means that your 5k r/t to LAX will yield 15k (5k actual miles with 10k added as bonus miles). Bonus miles related to class of service or preferred status are not included in the calculation. For example, as a US2 you would also get 5k bonus miles as a separate entry for a total of 20k.

phillyflyer is correct. Additionally...I can confirm that the computer now posts the 3x bonus correctly for flights ARRIVING in PHL. FTers posted problems with getting 3x bonus for flights not originating in Philly. As of memorial day weekend - this problem has been fixed. (At least for FLL-PHL)

Doh! So Chris, that means its total of triple miles, right? Not triple BONUS miles? Too bad it doesnt get based on the miles you wouldve gotten instead of flown for the FC :)

Nevertheless one trip will net you a ton of mileage. IIRC mine netted over 17k miles (50% SP bonus) for $200 - not a shabby deal at all.

Well the prices are definitely good, although the only ones I was able to find were in the $280 range now.... But I guess its still not TOO bad, undedr 2c/mile and comparatively still cheaper than $700 for a RT ticket for the Caribbean (which I'll be flying every 3months).

That's correct. It posts as the GoFare bonus... and the BONUS = 2x flight miles. The regular flight also posts...making the total 3x. This is in addition to any other bonus (COS,Preferred,etc.)
