With many thanks to RUTDOG in compiling the following list:

The 27 are:

Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Tempe

Hampton Inn Bowling Green, OH

Hampton Inn Carrollton, GA

Hampton Inn Cincinnati/Blue Ash

Hampton Inn Columbus

Hampton Inn Cortland, NY

Hampton Inn Crestview

Hampton Inn Dallas/Addison

Hampton Inn Davenport

Hampton Inn Florence-North

Hampton Inn Greenville

Hampton Inn Houston - I-45

Hampton Inn Houston/Stafford

Hampton Inn Jackson/Clinton

Hampton Inn Jonesville/Elkin

Hampton Inn Kearney

Hampton Inn Knoxville

Hampton Inn Knoxville-I-75 North

Hampton Inn Mattoon

Hampton Inn Memphis - I-240 at Thousand Oaks

Hampton Inn Memphis-I-40 East

Hampton Inn Mobile-I-65/Airport Blvd

Hampton Inn Orlando-Maingate South

Hampton Inn Phoenix/Chandler

Hampton Inn Rock Hill, SC

Hampton Inn Rocky Hill, CT

Hampton Inn Washington-I-95 (Largo[,MD])

In addition, the following are also listed as Opportunity Level Properties:

Hampton Inn Waldorf
3750 Crain Highway Waldorf, Maryland, US, 20603

Hampton Inn Stafford/Quantico-Aquia
2925 Jefferson Davis Hwy Stafford, Virginia, US, 22554

Hampton Inn Warrenton
501 Blackwell Rd. Warrenton, Virginia, US, 20186

Hampton Inn Allentown 7471 Keebler Way
Allentown, Pennsylvania, US, 18106

Hampton Inn East Aurora, NY
49 Olean Street East Aurora, New York, US, 14052

I have found that many of the above properties have scant, if any, information about them in this forum or other online resources.

Inasmuch as award stays count towards elite requalification for next year, and apparently as well as for satisfaction of various promotions, I thought it would be helpful if we could have a unified resource concerning these properties, as they seem to represent extremely good value for the points -- whether you use them for the preceding purposes that I have identified, or just for a place to rest one's weary bones after a long trip.

I am especially interested in the properties that I have added to the list, as well as the Largo, MD; Cortlandt, NY; and Rocky Hill, CT properties and would greatly appreciate any information concerning them.

Thanks!

I stayed in Allentown a few years ago. It's your standard Hampton. Nothing more, nothing less.

I checked in to the Hampton Inn Dallas/Addison on a mattress run a while back. (Didn't actually sleep there). Hotel & room seemed typical for a HI. Pool was closed for maintenance, but a sign offered the use of a pool at another hotel across the street. Good proximity to the Addison restaurant strip.

I haven't stayed in those, so my only feedback to this thread is that IMHO there are dozens of Hamptons that I've stayed in that should be Opportunity class.

To me, the entire Hampton chain should be Cat 1, with the skanky ones Opportunity Class. I like most Hamptons - they are a big reason I like HHonors - but they are kidding themselves calling them Cat 2's on par with a lot of their mainline Hiltons.

Also an Opportunity property: Hampton Inn Phoenix/I-10 West.

This is an extraordinarily clean Hampton but the surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired. I usually stay there a couple of times a year because it is the closest and most convenient HHonors property to where I'm going (Glendale area). I usually pay $35-$50 (AAA)/nt. so the "extremely good value for the points" is debatable. A excellent place for a PHX mattress run, IMO.

Perfect thread, this is exactly what I was trying to find. I have 22,600 points which is enough for three nights. My long-time love affair with Hilton is fading fast and so I'm going to use these points and focus on Starwood & Hyatt since I don't travel enough to keep top-tier at all three any longer. These will come in handy for a few mileage runs that I'll be making.

Found two more Opportunity Hamptons.

Adel, GA
Columbia Airport,SC

Will be checking them out in the next 3 weeks and will report.
Have stayed at the HI in Orangeburg,SC. It is ok.Breakfast
was good last year. It has outside corridors, 2 story and looks
just like the Comfort Inn down the block. However it is 20K points
definitely not worth it.

I do not know the states for all of them, but filled in a few blanks here and there (Clevelands, Greenvilles, etc.).

If you have Google toolbar (no, I don't work for them :) you can highlight the name of the hotel, right click and Google the hotel, which should pull the hotel page up quickly.

Meanwhile, Helsinki Hilton is the only non-Hampton pulling up via Google.

I've stayed in the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Tempe a few times and would recommend it. A nice Hampton, always upgraded to suites, always had reward availability (have had to call direct to hotel, but no hassle).

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Largo, MD a few weeks ago. It seems to have been recently remodeled/made over and was pretty nice. The hotel is a high-rise, and the only way in/out is the front door. It was *full* and seemed to have a lot of weddings or big groups. There are a lot of suites (2 per floor) but we were not upgraded as they were all sold out. Despite the many groups, things were quiet and we had no problems during our stay. The staff was very pleasant!

The hotel is a mile or two from downtown Washington, DC.

Are these really suites or Queen Studios?Since I didn't stay in one I have no idea but they are at the ends of the building and are sort-of triangular shaped. Looking at the web site I'd guess they are Queen Study rooms as those list balconies and the other rooms definitely do NOT have balconies.

As far as the location is concerned, it's in a suburban setting, bordered by a highway on one side and a quiet street in what appeared to be a corporate park on the other.

I've been to the Hampton Inn in Tyler, Texas a couple times, this past March being the most recent stay. It is one of the HIs with outdoor corridors and room entries. Not a bad HI -- it was clean and well cared for, but a bit older. I was wondering if it was going to be one of those HIs booted out of Hilton - no new "Hampton Touches" or hot breakfast when I was there. It is only a block or two from the ring road around Tyler (can't remember highway # off the top of my head), down at the southern end of town. There is a pretty good BBQ place (will try to dig up the name) catty-corner across the (rather large and busy) street from the hotel. I'm not sure if I was upgraded, but both times my room was quite large. No sofas or love seats, but a large recliner chair -- lots of wasted space, actually. The hotel is situated on a hill, so what looks like the first floor from the front is actually the second floor. There are three floors altogether.

Anyone want to speculate if these hotels will offer Point Stretchers off of these already cheap redemption levels?

Its Website says 10.6 miles. But more importantly, is it near a Washington Metro stop :) ?

Anyone want to speculate if these hotels will offer Point Stretchers off of these already cheap redemption levels?Speculating: No, since they don't offer PS for Cat 1.

More speculation: I'm guessing some property operators actually were unhappy about that, and this new Opportunity category is some type of compromise.

There really are quite a few cheap levels of redemption, if you look at it this way...

Reward - Per Night
Opp - 7,500
Cat I - 10,000
Cat II PS - 12,000
Cat III PS - 15,000
Cat IV PS - 18,000
Cat II - 20,000
Cat V PS - 21,000
Cat VI PS - 24,000
GLON2 - 25,000 per night (150,000 for 6 nights)
Cat III - 25,000
GLONP2 - 29,167 per night (175,000 for 6 nights)
Cat IV - 30,000
Cat V - 35,000 (GLON2 cheaper for 5 nights)
Cat VI - 40,000 (GLONP2 cheaper for 5 nights)

Its Website says 10.6 miles. But more importantly, is it near a Washington Metro stop :) ?

No. The hotel is 4 1/2 miles or so from the current end of the Blue Line - on the other side of I-95. The Blue Line extension will go directly into Largo, and closer to this HI.

When this happens, we'll likely see this hotel taken off the list.

OR Portland/Clackamas

I'm on my reward stay at this property right now, using the free high speed wireless available throughout the building. It's fast enough, and easy to use.

The hotel is right off the 205. It shares the parking lot with Denny's. The parking lot had some beer cans and bottles in it, but I've seen no other signs of trouble in the hotel or from the other guests.

Hint -- if coming from the north, instead of exit 12, take exit 13, and turn right at the off ramp onto SE 82nd Dr. You'll end up at the hotel quicker, avoiding a congested intersection.

Rooms are very small, but clean and in good shape. Staff has been OK, but not super.

Their are no suites or whirlpool rooms. I think I am now in the largest room possible, having sampled three of them during the checking process.

First I was put in 203, with two queen beds that barely seemed to fit. Then 409, this time one king, but instead of extra space, the room was actually smaller. Finally, I ended up in 428 the same size as the first room, but with one bed and an easy chair. Hardly spacious, but at least a little breathing room.

The website lists these rooms as
Single
Double Double
King Standard

Clearly, I'm in the King Standard now. Unless you need two beds, be sure to get this type. It was some work getting the better room. I felt a little resistance, but think the 100% satisfaction program worked in my favor to make the check in staff a little more pliable.

I was offered no Hampton Touch at check in, but seeing the fig newtons and bottled water behind the counter the next night, I received my touch with an apology upon asking. She seemed a little more responsive than the person at check in.

In summary, the rooms are small but fine, and the staff needs to treat Gold's a tad better. But for 7,500 points per night, this room is a bargain and I'd most likely stay here again.

Off to breakfast now... which is the standard fare plus hard boiled eggs and sausage gravy for your biscuits.

FYI: The Davenport Hampton is the worst Hampton I have ever stayed in. The only time I stay there is when I am forced to get a couple "cheap" stays to update my Diamond status.

As of a couple months ago the hotel was in the midst of a full renovation -- hopefully the work will drastically improve the property.

On another note, this is a one of the view categories where the new classification will actually cost MORE points. Under the old system, this hotel was almost always a point stretcher (probably 20 days of the typical month) and thus cost 6,000 points per night. Now it is 7,500 with no point stretcher. :(

First off, thank you to MSP2000 for putting the Opportunity list in order by state!

Stayed at the HI Kalamazoo/Oshtemo (#73 on list) last Friday night. I had a $50 AMEX check from a previous Best Rates claim so I booked a 2 QNS/NS at the AAA discount rate of $80.10 instead of burning the 7500 points. Front desk had my key packet ready when I arrived. When up to the room and was pleasantly surprised to find I had been upgraded to a 2 QN suite ($129/116.10 AAA). Actually, studio "suite" would be a better description as it was a 2 QN bedded room with a sleeper sofa, table w/2 chairs and a wet bar w/micro, fridge, coffee pot, coffee cups & glasses and a few microwavable dishes and utensils. No doors or any seperation between bedroom and living room. One TV w/22 channels and HBO. Bathroom was decent sized and the tub had the curved shower curtain rod and 6 position Waterpik shower head that put out a decent flow while still serving it's water saving purpose. No Hampton Touch was in the room on arrival and I didn't inquire about it.

This Hampton had a decent sized swimming pool and hot tub (hot tub was closed no reason given). Business center was 1 computer w/printer. Free wireless Internet available in the breakfast area only (according to signs posted). Exercise room was tiny and had 2 treadmills and 1 bike. Also had a Suite Shop (ala HGI) that had snacks, frozen meals and toiletries.

Breakfast was the standard carb-counters nightmare. It had two "hot" items being French toast sticks and sausage patties. I noticed they had the "robust" coffee I had seen mentioned in another HI thread.

This HI opened in Feb. 2003 and I would rate it at the top of the Hampton chain. I would very much recommend this place, especially at the Opportunity level. If this is the direction Hampton is going in overhauling all of their older properties then they are definitely headed in the right direction. It just leaves me scratching my head as to why HHonors rates it at this level with all of the crappy Category 2 (and even 3) HI's that are out there.

I think some properties use a low category to attract new high value customers.

Thanks for the report.

I was in east TX in June & it turned into a matress run. I hit five HI in five nites (it got me Diamond again sooner than I anticipated.) Add the following:

AR Texarkana
LA Shreveport, Airport
TX Tyler
TX Longview
TX Marshall

None of the properties cost over $80. Great breakfasts, hot items, Hampton Touches in each room (even in Marshall where I called & booked a room from my cell when I was 15 minutes from the property).

I can't imagine anyone blowing points on that property, but it was a nice addition to my run. :(

The Longview HI is ok at best. The Police had a high speed chase that ended in the HI parking lot. I met my new neighbors.

We just spent two days at this Hampton Inn and would happily return, and probably will as we have family in the area. The hotel does everything it's supposed to - the pillows are fluffy, the beds are comfy, the rooms are relatively quiet, the breakfast is free with hot & cold items, there is a pool (didn't use it), there is free and easy to Internet access, the business center's computer and printer worked fine for us to checkin for our flights and print boarding passes, etc.

The hotel is just off 105 making it easy to get to several towns in the area. If you're visiting for some event in Helen, I'd choose this over the Helen HI based on price alone. During our stay the price difference was about $70/night.

Good deal!

There's another thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128280) devoted to this hotel, but thought it would be good to get a recent report in here.

Average hotel - just fine, but nothing special. Just got back from a one-night award stay. No upgrade to speak of, other than the fact that the room had the micro-fridge combo. Clean, comfortable rooms, smallish pool, ordinary breakfast spread (nothing hot, but a more than average amount of average stuff). None of the upgraded room features. Small business center, which I used to print out an on-line boarding pass.

After a couple of days closer to the strip, the suburban quality of the place was kind of refreshing. Also, the nearby brewpub is still open (I think there was another post suggesting that it had closed)

A few small annoyances, but not enough to keep me from coming back: First, I was not offered the "Hampton Touch", but given that it's so minimal I didn't bother to ask. Second, the room a/c was off when I got there, and so it was hot and stuffy until I could get it cooled down. Finally, this place has all of those posters telling you that they want you to give them As on the surveys and comment cards. Would have been more receptive if it hadn't been so in your face and it had said something about them striving to earn those marks from you.

I'm satisfied that it was a good use of the points, and would consider returning.

I can give experience for the East Aurora, NY Hampton Inn. I am actually surprised this is an Opportunity level location. It is very new (less than 1 year old) and very nice. It is certainly an upscale HI (as upscale as a HI can be). East Aurora is ~25 miles SE of Buffalo and is a nice little town that I sometimes do business in. The lobby is large and has a very warm feel, big fireplace, mission style furniture (one of the leaders of that style of design was from the area). One or two very good restaurants in town. The rooms are just normal rooms, but the hotel itself is certainly above the cut of normal HI. The rooms run $125 regular rate and $90-$100 on our corporate rate (I just checked on-line to confirm these costs). I also confirmed that there are award rooms at 7500 pts for the same nights I received the above rates, so it is certainly a great value of HH pts for the cost.

Spent 4 nights in the PHX area and split into 4 stays at two different Opportunity properties.

Hampton Phoenix/I-10 West: 7/30 & 8/4 - reported previously on this property (post #5 in this thread). Nothing new to report except that this HI has been updated IAW Hampton's "new look". Lobby and breakfast area re-done and new carpet on first floor only (3 floors). Rooms have the curved shower curtain, new Hampton alarm clock and "TV tray". Still no business center or onsite fitness room (comp. membership to nearby gym available).

Hampton Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria: 7/31 - This property is located in Peoria on Bell Rd. in between 83rd and the 101 Loop. Plenty of dining choices within walking distance but the Krispy Kreme and In and Out Burger would be enough for me! Checked in just after 3 pm on a $53.10 AAA rate and the maid was just putting the finishing touches on cleaning the room. Somewhat different lobby as it was decked out in the various major league baseball teams that hold spring training in Peoria -- Mariners, Cubs, A's and Angels come to mind but I'm sure there were several more. The building has 5 floors, outdoor pool and computer with internet access located in the lobby. Fitness room is located on the second floor and has a treadmill and bike.

Room (425) was a King Std. N/S. Pretty big room as far as Hamptons go. Had a sofa w/fold out bed, entertainment center w/small fridge and microwave. Gold "touch" was a Hampton bag w/bottle of water, package of cookies and a package of microwave popcorn.

Standard Hampton breakfast was served from 6-10AM. Somewhat small breakfast area. Only half-dozen people in there and seemed crowded. Hot items were eggs and sausage patties.

8/3 - once again checked in on a $53.10 AAA rate. Arrived at our room (417) and was surprised to see that we had been upgraded to the "Seattle Mariners suite". Not really a suite but a larger than standard king room w/jacuzzi bath. Room was decorated in a Seattle Mariners theme -- M's border wall paper, M's trash cans, some other framed baseball prints and a framed M's jersey. Jacuzzi was a nice sized two-person square shaped -- not the cheesy regular bath tub w/4 jets in the sides. Room was a smoking room but I wasn't about to complain! Only downside was a unannounced contest on the 4th floor to see who could let their door slam the loudest starting at 11:30 PM and lasting until after 2.

Would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it highly for a PHX mattress run. I think the upgrade on my second stay was based on being a "repeat" guest and occupancy was light (guessing < 30% full) on both stays.

Tenative plans to return to PHX in Nov. and want to try some of the other 4 Opportunity props. (Chandler, Mesa, Tempe and Metrocenter) in the area.

I stayed at the Hampton in Waldorf, MD last year for about a month. It was a decent Hampton and it is the nicest Hilton property in the area. They did not have high speed or a hot breakfast and the mattresses seemed abnormally thin, but this may have changed since I stayed there. (10 Months ago). The Hotel was very clean and seemed new, and the staff seemed neither overly friendly nor rude.

While the Hotel was not bad, Waldorf, MD was just a large strip mall, so I ended up moving to Fredericksburg.

Dont even think about MetroCenter if you actually plan to sleep there.

This is an old style Hampton with outside corridors. As a diamond on a "mattress run". I received a room on the 2nd floor looking over the parking lot. Walked into room to pick up the water ( its hot here ;) )- noticed it was a double bed with a thin mattress, dark depressing room and was sooo glad I was not sleeping there - then again for $35.10 on AAA its great for a "stay"

I was driving I-81 and all of a sudden got really sick. I knew Cortland NY had a Hampton so went the extra 15 miles. Got there and offered a King Study for $129 on a Saturday around noon. Not what I thought a Hampton should go for in NY State...but I was sick and didn't care. The room though was nice. flat screen TV with DVD player...a comfy bed and overall...for a sick person....very nice.

I had a pleasant enough 7,500 point award stay at the Hampton Inn Rocky Hill last month whilst on a driving tour of New England. It's a convenient over-nighter between Newport and Vermont / Berkshires.

The lobby has been extensively refurbished and makes the hotel look brand new. Sadly, when you leave the lift, you are back in the 1980's. That said, our room was a decent size with a good bed and was clean. The front desk clerk recommended a seafood restaurant about 1 mile away that turned out to be excellent. Breakfast next morning was very good - we were the only people there at 9.30am.

If you do stay here, do visit the dinosaur park (next exit off the interstate) where there is a small museum / exhibition showing the hundreds of dinosaur footprints found in the area.

Thanks for the report RJB!

I have been eyeing this property for some time now, but have had no occasion to use it.

I had read that it was formerly a budget chain property known as a "Susse Chalet" which had been converted.

How was the breakfast and what did they serve?

Also, how long was the drive from there to Newport, RI?

Thanks!

PS -- Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Breakfast was an extensive cold buffet - I've read here that some HI's now serve a hot breakfast but this was not one of them. The dining area was also surprisingly large, so even at peak times it is probably still pleasant. Free newspapers also available in the lobby, as well as TV.

As I said, the whole lobby area and lift is very, very smart - its a shame the rest of it has yet to be refurbed. Very smoky corridors as well, for some reason, although the room was OK. It had also been upgraded for high-speed internet and had a wireless keyboard in the room, which looked totally out of place with the 1980's decor!!

We drove down to Mystic and then to Newport, can't remember how long it took I'm afraid. It was a quick run, however, with the interstate 30 seconds from the hotel.

The following night we stayed in a huge suite at Foxwoods .... but that is a totally different story!

(PS. I was wondering what had happened to Susse Chalet. I stayed in a few of their properties when I was last in New England in 1999-ish (some great, some very poor) but didn't see any at all this time round.)

For 7,500 points it is worth it, it seems.

I guess a number of the Susses went to HI and others to Comfort or HI Expresses, etc.

Before I moved to Memphis, I stayed at both the I-40 and I-240 Hamptons

TN ----- Memphis ----- Memphis / I - 40 East

This is your oldschool outdoor corridor motel. Its simple, clean, and OK for a place to sleep. Its the cheapes Hhonors property I found in West TN. Some of the desk staff are quite friendly characters, and to me make the place seem like a smalltown motel. Its just off the interstate, in a functional, strip mall/fast food area. Its not an upscale area, but I stayed there many times and always felt safe enough. For various reasons it can be nice to be able to park your car at your front door. The best feature of its location is its very close to the Memphis "Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Warehouse." Bass Pro is worth a visit if you like to fish or hunt! Worth considering for an end of year mattress run.

TN ----- Memphis ----- Memphis / I - 240 at Thousand Oaks

This is a more modern hotel, with indoor corridors. But its in a somewhat sketchy, declining area, with some empty lots and such. Security guards patrol the parking lot. There was an armed robbery at the nearby Marriott around the (one) time I stayed at the Hampton. I did NOT feel safe in this area, and would not stay there again. Its not close to much of anything you might want to visit in Memphis, whether business or pleasure.

With many thanks to RUTDOG in compiling the following list:

In addition, the following are also listed as Opportunity Level Properties:

Thanks!
Also add the Clarksville, TN. I have stayed at most of the ones in TN. The one in clarksville a lot, since it is nearby and the kids like the pool. Most of them are the converted motels. They are nice and some have high speed wireless throughout, not just the lobby.

I've stayed at the HI in Warrenton, VA three times. It's pretty basic, with outdoor corridors, but the service has always been warm and friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and there's lots of parking. My friends who were staying at the Comfort Inn said, "Whoa, this is nicer than our rooms" when they came over.

They serve the hot breakfast, but the coffee is sub par. Luckily, there's a new drive-thru Starbucks down the road.

Try the Hampton in just off I-20 Exit 556. It is in Lindale, but right on the Tyler border. It has the usual breakfast, indoor hallways, free wireless internet and even the occasional free upgrade to a room with a large whirpool.

I recently stayed at the following Opportunity Level Properties:

Hampton Inn Houston TX., George Bush Intercontinental Airport. (Sam Houston Boulevard)
Nice room, airport and local shuttle, nice breakfast bar, helpful staff, dirty swimming pool. The neighborhood is what you would expect in an airport hotel location - a little run down. You also have access to the Clarion Hotel property next door since the same person owns both properties. (they have a restaurant and bar),

Hampton INN NASA, Seabrook, TX.(Houston TX. ) Near Johnson Space Center, Clear Lake, and Kemah Shopping/Entertainment district A new hotel, nice clean rooms, good breakfast bar, friendly staff, water view on front side of building. End room was huge. We could have had a dance in there.

We just stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Kalamazoo-Oshtemo, MI last Friday. This property appears to be brand new, and we were very happy with our stay.

Gold status brought us cookies and water in the room upon arrival. The room also had a laptop desk, a shower with the bowed-out bar (my husband loved this), and other niceties I can’t remember. Lots of pillows – which I always appreciate. A nice, comfortable bed. Everything in the room and property looked very, very new and was clean and nice. The location is almost literally in the middle of nowhere – our view was of an empty field. Hotel was VERY quiet. Breakfast was big with the usual yogurt, biscuits, sausage, etc. We left quite full. The lobby is wide open with high ceilings and nice fixtures. Looking at the floor plan, all rooms looked the same except for the suites on the ends.

No question we would stay here again! The only problem is the remote location – not near the university or downtown Kzoo at all. But right next to the highway.

Just staying at the Richfield, OH Hampton Inn, and I think this is a decent place as well. Very nice staff checked me in around midnight, room on the second floor is as expected - your typical HI room. High Speed Internet works flawless and at decent speed, and as always you have to get login-information at the desk even though it is wired. Room has King bed as requested in my profile (online-booking was for a two-double room).

Going for breakfast now, layout of the breakfast-area looked like all newly designed ones, so I guess standard-fare there as well. All in all, for the 7500 points this seems a pretty good deal. Hotel is right off the 77 hwy, exit 147, make a left, then a right on Rt.21. After you passed under the Ohio-Turnpike hotel is on the right. About 20 minutes by car from Cleveland Airport.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Tempe. Unfortunately, it's an exterior walkway property. The walkways and staircases seem a little worn and dirty, but the rooms were fairly nice. Even though I don't swim in hotel pools that often, they seemed a little too small for my taste.

The suites kind of eliminated that "Hampton feel".

If you get assigned room D129 or F246, I've been there. :D

I've stayed in the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Tempe a few times and would recommend it. A nice Hampton, always upgraded to suites, always had reward availability (have had to call direct to hotel, but no hassle).

The secret is out...this is the reason I bother with Hhonors Points. Nice place. Nice folks. Close to ASU. Free Shuttle from PHX. Enterprise RAC nearby.

Stayed on OP1 this past weekend at the HI Rock Hill, Rock Hill, SC . What a bargain! Interior corridors, 5 floors. Breakfast area nice with the normal hot breakfast. Check-in at 10 pm on a Saturday night was flawless. Did I mention that I reserved this at 8 am on the same Saturday?

I had two small issues that I didn't even bring up with Mgmt: The pillows in the room were unbelievably thick with no alternative in the closet, and the ice machine on the second floor wasn't working.

I ended up sleeping after a while with no pillow, and completely forgot to check the ice machine on the first floor on my way out (needed to fill the cooler with ice for a day at Paramount Carowinds).

This hotel was very easy to get in and out of, off of I-77, and a very quick jump up to Carowinds (10-15 mins to the front gate) and the South Park area in Charlotte (20-25 mins).

Any update on the list and the availability of such properties for redemption purposes?

And what were you doing to pull together a master list of Opportunity Class properties?

I posted stays at these two Atlanta area opportunity-level Hamptons:

Douglasville GA
Atlanta (North Lake)

Both were just fine with no problems, and good breakfast spreads. Douglasville is west of ATL but still fairly close to the city. North Lake is right off of 285 on the east side of ATL.

Neither property has a business center. Both properties had room doors on inside hallways. Both are located close to a large amount of retail.

I would gladly use points for a future stay at either.
