Some time ago someone posted on this site about whether or not the riverview rooms were worth the extra price and I said I would let you know when we returned from Prague, which we just did.

First of all, this is a really great hotel!! Nice staff and friendly feeling. And in my opinion the river view rooms are worth the extra price. The view is fantastic, with Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, river etc. and they are lit at night as well as other buildings across the river. It may be a bit noisy with people walking (Prague wasn't too crowded but getting more so!) and some river noise - it was cool out so we kept our windown open for the breeze - but they have double windows which help a lot.

We had a Premier River View, which was very spacious and on the top floor of the old building. Great room - (#336) and I can't say how the regular river rooms would be, but the other regular rooms didn't appear too have much view, just other buildings and courtyards that look across at other rooms. Hope this helps -

On another note, I noticed they had l'Occitane amenities, and I also notice that the Four Seasons are getting pretty stingy in that area - even had to ask for a room scale! It seems to be a worldwide FS trend!

Thanks for the update on the FS & 'river views'. Since I booked both FS & the Hilton, your reveiw will have me canceling the Hilton. I'll be there in mid Aug, so I imagine the streets will be just as noisy/crowded~~but given its only for one night it shouldn't be a problem. May I ask, how did you get from the airport to the FS? I was hoping to take the bus/train and then walk (I'll only have a very small carry on).

We took a hotel limo because we had been traveling for about 20 hours and didn't want anymore hassles, but I think if you contact the concierge at the hotel - prg.concierge@fourseasons.com they will give you some information. We found them to be very good and accessible and not the in the least snobby, as some of the others can be!

I think the train station is quite far from the hotel but am not sure -

Hope anyone considering FS Prague will take the opportunity to use the spa. I had the best massage of my life there.
Also agree that the riverview is worth it.

There is no train to Ruzyne Airport, but there's a bus that connects to the Metro system.

Hello!

I have been in Prague many times and have stayed at the FS there too. Glad to see it's open again. The closest Metro Stop is "Staromestska." It is on the Green Line/A. This is good because if you are coming from the Airport Ruzyne you can take the Green Line/A straight there. You need to take the airport bus (I believe #119) to Dejvicka, and then ride the green line to Staromestska. I'd do some research to see about the bus thing, it's been over 1 yr since I have done it.
