I have searched the BAA LGW website trying to find the location of the Gatwick train station to no avail.

I arrive next Tuesday AM on AA in the North Terminal and am taking the train to my final destination. I have purchased the train ticket in advance. I am not taking the Gatwick Express into London, I am on another train service with Clapham Junction as my first stop.

Can anyone provide a link that shows the train station location or provide directions on how to get there from the North Terminal arrivals area.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Gatwick rail station is in the South Terminal itself.

It's well signposted from the North Terminal. Just follow the signs for 'trains'. You'll go up a level, then on to the inter-terminal transit, a fast, frequent rail shuttle service (takes 2-3 minutes). You come out of this, along some travelators and turn left, and you're straight in the railway station ticket hall.

The queues here can be quite long, so if you're not on the Gatwick Express, consider using one of the 'FastTicket' machines. They'll sell you your ticket to London, and take only credit cards. Be aware, though, there's a dazzling array of tickets - make sure you buy the right one! Look for 'SouthCentral' to London Victoria. The price you pay will probably depend on the time of day - after 9.30am is cheaper.

If you're going to be travelling on the Tube that day, you also have the option to buy a combination ticket/travelcard. This gets you the ticket to the edge of London, then a day pass for London when you get there. Still, look for 'SouthCentral'.

Very easy (well, apart from the bizarre ticketing).
