MilesBuzz! - Nukubati Island, Fiji Islands ???

I have just booked a holiday at this small resort in Fiji.

Has anyone been there, and can offer some information on the island.

It is a member of Small Luxury Hotels.

Sorry, no help on the island, as I've never been there. Lived nearby (by jet) for 4 years, and only a few of my friends ever made the trip.

So why am I writing? Just to say, that if you are in to SCUBA diving, this is one of the best places in the world to collect a Golden Cowrie. If you are such, best times to collect such, is, unfortunately, night on the ocean side. Well worth the effort, and don't forget a shark billy.

i'm not sure about that particular island, but do remember that there was a lot of political unrest earlier this yr. in fiji.
you might check to be sure if there are any current u.s. gov't. travel advisories regarding fiji. just a word of caution.
