It'll be interesting to see if UAL shareholders will approve. (or have they already?) They still have the unions to deal with too.

Let's see how the FTC handles it.

USAir shareholders should accept it, since they have nothing to lose: the top dollar UA is offering is unlikely to be matched by the share price in the near future. And if Justice turns it down, they still have their stock. I don't believe UAL's shareholders actually have a say in the matter, since there is no material change to their shares as a result of the deal.

Wolf and Gangwal are in for a $50 million bonus! Just for delivering the shareholder vote, even if the merger eventually falls through. Cool, isn't it!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif
