Starwood Preferred Guest - Reward Cancellation Policy

I searched the archives but couldn't find a definitive answer; I want to make an award reservation for one night on May 21st, but what would be the cancellation policy of my reservation? The policy on a regular reservation is by 6pm of the day of check-in for the particular property.

The answer is property-specific.

Check the cancellation policy at the bottom of the page right before you confirm your reservation. My experience is that for most properties, you need to cancel by 6pm Hotel time 1 Day prior to avoid 1 Night penalty.
