How do you do an MR on Frontier? (From, say, DEN)

Although I've never done a MR, I suspect it would be fairly difficult to do things like convoluted routings with multiple connections, because most Frontier routes are direct non-stops. Maybe if you were in a smaller city somewhere at the terminus of their service, you could find a routing through Denver and get an extra connection. However, I'm not sure that this would get you many extra miles unless there were a bonus offer involved.

A mileage run does not mean a convoluted routing! That's just ONE KIND of mileage run. A mileage run includes any flight you take for no other reason than the mileage. THAT kind of mileage run is possible to do on ANY airline with an FF program. Obviously, in the case of Frontier, the best payoff would be on new routes where they may have double or even sometimes triple mileage bonuses. And because convoluted routings are hard from ANYWHERE on Frontier, DEN is the perfect place to do mileage runs (or mileage "semi-runs", where the mileage is still the MAIN point but you find something to do at the destination, including perhaps a mattress run :) ) from, since DEN is the city that Frontier has the most flights from (as that's it's primary hub).

True enough. Basic "there and back" trips would certainly be doable -- in fact, my point was that this is probably the only type that would be possible or practical in most cases if starting from Denver. There certainly would be a payoff in terms of status. I'm not sure if the miles earned would be worth it or not (I haven't done the math), although bonuses (the original posting topic) may make them more palatable. :)

Back in the low load months there were some pretty good prices to places on the east coast where you could leave on a Saturday and return on a Sunday, however with summer coming up there has been less.

Now you could always route. DEN-LAX-MSP/STL/MCI-DEN.

Just checked my daughter's mileage posting from PHX to IAD thru DEN. Looks like they posted both the TRIPLE to/from PHX bonus plus the DOUBLE to/from IAD bonus. 8k+ miles for the TO leg, and presumably she'll get the other 8K on the FROM leg coming back next week. She'll certainly be pleased to earn a free flight from this one trip!

Miles Flight Class Orig Dest Description
1463 0621 R DEN IAD FRONTIER AIRLINES
590 0102 R PHX DEN FRONTIER AIRLINES
2053 BONUS DULLES INTRO BONUS
4106 BONUS PHOENIX TRIPLE MILES
