look at the bottom of the report:
"PS- Look out for DirecTV, coming to a USAirways aircraft near you in the not-so-distant future My source shall remain anonymous."

Any info on this anyone? Personally I think it would be good but do they have enough money?

The report also includes nice shots inside the E-170 FYI.

Not bloody likely. David Neelman(JetBlue CEO) not only installed them to their aircraft, but bought the company that makes the equipment and, hence, holds the FAA approval for installation. So, if US was to install it, they'd be paying JetBlue licensing fees.......

The 170 looks awsome, for an RJ ;)

An anonymous source on airliners.net is generally akin to "the kid next door thought it would be a good idea."

As has been pointed out, doing this would involve paying B6. I don't see it happening.

Personally I think the idea of TV on airplanes as a panacea of some sort is pretty twisted. Especially while they're still serving wine in plastic cups...

Productivity, fares and service are the problems that they need to focus on.

directv wouldn't be possible, but dish would be... jetblue owns the directv stuff, but other airlines use Dish
