US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - How can I see my reservations on the US Air Website?

I usually fly DL and can always see my reservations on the Delta website as soon as our travel agent books them.

Today I booked a US flight for Sunday. When I go the the US Website and try to "Existing Reservations" it says: You have no current reservations.

When I go to the Virtually There site, it gives me the message:

The information entered does not match a valid reservation. The Reservation Code or the Passenger's Last Name may have been entered incorrectly, or the reservation may have expired. Please try again. If you need assistance, please contact your travel arranger.

I called US Air to confirm that I am using the proper confirmation number. I am. They told me because a travel agent booked the ticket, I won't be able to access my reservation online. This is not good since I like to look at my reservations online, change seats, follow upgrades, etc. I'm lost without seeing this information online.

Is this correct? That if a travel agent books a ticket I can't see it online?

Thanks!

I believe it is although I don't use a travel agent so will let someone who does confirm or disagree. Regardless, you wouldn't be able to go changing your seat around anyways. The only way to do that is to telephone res. or do so when/if you use web check-in 24 hours in advance.

That seems odd. If you have a confirmation code (a six-letter code), go to http://www.virtuallythere.com and you might be able to see them there.

I've had some odd things happen with usairways.com; sometimes I think that the people running it think that they're a different company than US Airways. As long as the people on the phone say that you're fine, don't worry about it. I've had tickets I bought from usairways.com not show up on "Existing Reservations" on usairways.com, but when I checked in online, it worked fine.

Generally I think www.usair.com is a great site but this is one area in which they really fall down. I only ever see the reservations that I book online - nothing else.

What's funny is that when I book through the Chairman's Line they always say "you should see it show up online in about 4 hours." Nope never happens.

Right now I see several trips for other people that I booked online, including an award trip for my niece, but none of the ones for me.
