any has this card? Suppose If I has this card and If I spend over 300k a year. Do I get an upgrade to the Black card? or they don't have the black card for the business card, I know that if you have a personal platinum charge card you can get an upgrade if you spend over 150k a year, but I was wondering do they upgrade the business as well? well if anyone that has the Business Platinum Charge card can you tell me about it, or any expert out here.
Please don't underestimate me people, I has the personal Centurion Card, but I wonder If I get the business platium card will I get upgrade to the Centurion if I spend an Ocean of money?

I had the Business Platinum card, and it came with a $395 annual fee and all the benefits that the standard Plat card had. If you spend over $250,000 on it (and any cards linked to it) you are eligible for the upgrade to the Business Centurion card, although if you have a personal Centurion I don't know why you'd want it - the benefits are the same, and the fee is $2500. For business charges, the Plat works just as well as the Black.

I want the black business charge card for status when I buy the 91 millions dollars painting in New York for my company investment, I think the personal black card is good, but it is meant for personal spending, I want my spending to be on business so it's easy to seperate the two so the CEOs(mulitple) at my company don't think I'm using the money from our business account to buy personal luxery.

wow, personal "luxery" huh? Where can I get me some of that? Can you really get a 91M USD painting with your Amex? Think of the points!!! LOL

I can let the amex company check my company business acount, I think they will let me charge it. I'm not going to carry a BIG! suitcase of cash around. It's very dangerous to carry that much amount of money, and IT'S NOT MY MONEY, IT'S THE COMPANY MONEY SO THERE ARE NO WAY I CAN REPAY IT BACK IF THE MONEY GOT STOLEN!
I did think of the Member reward point! My company never talk about that, maybe I pocket the point :D

I am a little confused. Do you want an AmEx Business Card for a business that you own or for a company that you work for? If you own the comany and are looking for the Business Centurion Card, then give AmEx a call and ask. If you are able to convince them that you will be spending millions of dollars on it soon, then I imagine that they would approve your request.
You may also want to consider adding a supplimental black card to your personal account, and using that for business expenses. Your monthly bills will seperate what was charged to each account.
I would not worry about the status that comes with the card. If you are buying 91 million dollars of art work, I doubt that anyone will think more (or less) of you based on what method of payment you use.

thanks for your reply, I think I can get a clear picture of what I wanted.
I kind of own a few percent of the company, so it's like if one person spend, all the other have to pay, it sort of like that.
I did gave them a call, they are still checking up my profile and bank account.
Mr.CraigS thanks for your reply too: I don't work for Tyco or WorldComm, I work for the International whole sale trader.

Tsunami9777, Can I charge your multi million dollar painting on my Black Centurion card and you reimburse me? I will be glad to wire a large sum of money to a bank account in Nigeria or another lawless country as an act of good faith ;) I have to leave this board now because something smells. :(

Mr. Centurion, sorry sir I'm not from Nigeria. I am from Asia and my company just sent me to New York for a business trip, The painting I'm going to buy will be a great investment. I chat to this man in BBoss club, in Hong Kong, he said he will pay 100 mils for this painting so If I buy this painting in New York for 91 Mils I can get 9 Mils profit and imagine the point I collect, :)
okay I guess I have to end this post now because I have to go to work now, and can't get online for like a month or so because I'm going to be busy doing research, because I'm handle a big amount of money here.

I guess Amex doesnt like me. I charge 50-80K a month on SPG card and 50-80 a month on personal green card, 15K on a business gold and 10-20 on another business card of theirs. They never seem to offer me much of anything additional. You should have heard my call to get my SPG card from 30K limit to 50K limite. I was with supervisors who gave me a load of ***p. I told them to call my banks to verify I am for real. Not to mention the huge business I do and pay every month with them.

How are you putting 50-80K a month on a card with a 30K limit? Is this that "some can pay ahead, some can't" thing?

AmEx doesn't give you any special attention when it comes to a business plat. I run several hundred thousand a year through them and haven't even gotten as much as a "thanks for being a customer" from any CSR. 300k won't get you an auto upgrade to black unless you specifically ask -- then you should get it.
On the other hand, they do start paying attention when you call to cancel. Perhaps that would be your first thing before you expect any sort of recognition :)
PS: I've dealt with many credit card clearing houses in the past, and I've never heard of any company with the ability to put a $91 million charge through. I would be surprised if you succeed in this.

Perhaps our new FT friend is interested in Picasso's painting "Garcon a la Pipe" that is being auctioned off next month. Experts say that it could hit and surpass the $100,000,000 mark.

It's an auction, so their are no limit of the money I can spend.
... There's a nice stone bridge in the fair borough of Brooklyn that I can sell you for the bargain-basement price of $500,000,000.00 :p

I was spending 30K a month on Starwood and 50-80K a month on personal green card. This month I was able to pay spg online and they reset my CL so I did 100K in points for the month...>Rob

I'm with you entirely MatthewClement. Tsunami9777 is great. Perhaps if he speaks to Amex sternly enough they can arrange for his Bentley to be painted in the style of Picasso. Not unreasonable in the circumstances. And beats test driving Audis. :)

Hi everyone,
Last week, I got a call from AMEX that I could be upgraded to the Centurion Card from my Platinum. I spend alot on my Platinum and am going to spend even more on the Centurion Card. But, they didn't tell me how much is the annual fee. I can afford a fee of anywhere from $0 to $10,000.
Thanks,

Welcome to FT!
You did not have to bump a 2004 thread. Things have much changed since then. In the future check the FAQ section of this forum and use a search future.
This thread might be able to answer some of your questions, but basically you should be able to call amex and ask if they can upgrade you. They will tell you right away if you qualify.
