I'm sure that not everyone here would agree with this but IMHO SonyEricsson (a perfect combinaton on Sony design and Swedish geekery) have simply obeyed one of the golden rules of a free market: "Supply the market with what it wants with a price it's prepared to pay". They deserve to eclipse Nokia at the moment:

YAY!!!!

My favourite is winning. Between SE and the new Motorola phones this year Nokia is going to have a tough time winning :D

Nokia want to release something like 60 new phones this year, they are obviously not listening...

A positive net income must be considered a good thing I think? 82m on revenue of 1.34b is certainly a step in the right direction when all you've previously reported have been huge losses. Nokia 'disappointed' with revenue of 6.6b and profits of 1.1b, albeit from more than just handsets.

Not a big deal in my view... SE has had an abysmal last two years, so just by simply executing on products in the last few months, the shipments were SURE to increase.

This is great. SE do make the best handsets, IMO. Nokia is sucking because they have been resting on their laurels for far too long, and their current attempt at phones-from-Mars is not helping.

Case in point:
