I have the US plat, (and german gold). Reviewing the benefits of the international cards, it seem like i can get more benefits for the same price.
price for US$ version is $400/ Euro card is E400.

free additional cards - one plat and 4 green/gold (this one would be a great benefit for me)

priority pass (not necessary at all, as i have status and fly premium classes, but could come in handy)

hilton status in addition to starwood.

the Euro card has the travel comfort insurance which pays for travel delays(even is your flight is late) baggage delays etc.

I know that my MR would move, but it seems like a good deal.

My only question is:

can i keep doing online payments? or would i have to do some kind of bank transfer every month?

My (German) AMEX Plat balance is automatically debited from my bank account... I receive my AMEX statement online, the payment is due approx. 7 days after the statement becomes avaiable.

yes my german card as well, but this is an international card, based out of the uk i believe. they do not do direct debit.

this is what they say:

Settled in US dollars, monthly:
- By bank transfer
- By US dollar cheque
- By hand-delivery at any American Express® Travel Service or Representative Office

The International Dollar and Euro Centurion cards are managed by Amex UK, and are very similar to the UK Centurion card (so you would miss the airline benefits the US Centurion card have).

Unfortunately, the US$ card is (theoretically) not available for US residents.

The Intl. $ card account can be settled by bank transfer to American Express Bank (New-York) , this can be quite expensive for people who don't have a US bank account.

The Euro card account can be settled by bank transfer to American Express Bank (Germany). It's convenient for people living in the European Union (intra-european bank transfers using BIC/IBAN are quick and inexpensive).
The International Euro currency card is not available where a local Centurion card in Euro exists (Germany, Switzerland).

Hello. I am currently an American Express Card holder. However, I would be extremely interested in obtaing the Internation Dollar Card. Can anyone tell me how to get it being that I live in the U.S.? I don't mind fibbing either if thats what it takes.....
