American Express Membership Rewards - Annual double miles promo?

One of the reasons I got the DL Amex is because of a rumored annual double miels promo. Am I correct that the DL card usually has a double miles promo for all cardholders (not targetted or regional)? If so, when is this promo?

Sign up for notices via email of any promos & watch your mail for postcards or statement enclosures on new promos. They are now TARGETED offers not available to everyone. 4/29 is the nex biggie but who gets it is the question. I haven't heard but know about it.

As you properly point out, the Amex web site says repeatedly that Home improvement and hardware stores are included in its double points offer. The site is just out of date and wrong.

Fact is as of April 1, 2004 Home improvement and hardware stores are no longer included. All existing card holders got a mailing to that effect.

When I saw the web site was still inducing people to sign up for new cards and get double points at Home improvement and hardware stores, I called Amex. I was told that the site is being updated to reflect the change and assured that since April 1, 2004 no one was getting double points at Home improvement and hardware stores.

If I signed up after April 1 and paid a fee expecting those double points, I'd be mad. But that's how it is.

The usual Amex/Delta BS! Avoid this card.

Folks talk AMEX but two different programs. Steve at AMEX stated Lowe's is still double miles on purchases as is Home Depot. I bought a fridge 4/4 & got my double miles.....

Member Rewards axed them.......

It ends on 5/1 for the MR and MR options cards, not for any of the DL cards.
